The Master rose and walked to a giant bookstand, that reached to the ceiling and searched at several places. “Oh, here they are.”, he said and returned to his desk. In his hand he held two cards, which he laid in front of them.

“Let's start with the backside, which are mostly the same. You see two black comorans, holding a shield.” El and Laura looked intensively at these ancient symbols. They felt the meaning and power of these symbols and the bearing colours; silver and black. “That is my personal weapon. It started as a joke. Everybody wanted eagles and lions as part of their weapon. I wanted something else, somithing more basic and down to earth.”

Slowly the Master moved the cards towards them. “Look at the shield. It is an image of the “All-Seeing Eye”. A very heavy symbol in those days. It's more of a joke nowadays. The NSA for instance is seeing everything and understanding nothing. I prefer to understand. Seeing is one way of confirming your world, there are other ways. With the cards for instance.”

Nor Laura or El dared to touch the cards in front of them. “This backside can function as an ID-card. When in trouble it can lead you to a safe place or safe people. It is also so, that it proves that you are on my personal assignment and therefore to be helped and protected. The wrong people, when they know your loyalty on the other hand, may try to kill you.
